Description: A tall annual plant that grows to around 3meters in height, producing large bright yellow flowers. Native to western North America the plant was first cultivated by the American Indians around 1000 BC. Grown commercially in many parts of the world today, the sunflower is valued for its food, oil and ornamental qualities and there are now many cultivated varieties.
Healing Properties: Helps with rheumatic pain, constipation, malaria, tuberculosis, calms irritated skin conditions and helps heal bruises and cuts faster. Good for sore muscles and joints after exercise.
