Safflower

Botanical Name: Carthamus Tinctorius

Produced commercially worldwide, with India, America and Mexico the leading producers of safflower. Safflower has similar properties as sunflower oil and is often used as a deterrent in bird food due to the fact that squirrels do not like the taste of safflower.
