Description: The olive tree is native to the Mediterranean. The oil was highly valued by both the Greeks and Romans. Olive trees were reported to have grown in the gardens of Gethsemane that dates back to the time of Jesus. Today the olive is an important crop and is used by many as part of their everyday diet. Olive oil is high in vitamins, especially vitamin E and contains Oleuropein- a useful anti-oxidant to protect from free radicals.
Healing Properties: Helps to lower blood pressure and relieve nervous tension, circulatory disorders, and indigestion. Relieves muscular stiffness, moistures both skin and hair- helping to ease dryness. Olive oil very rarely causes irritation and therefore is considered safe to use on children.
