Evening primrose carrier oil

Botanical Name: Oenothera biennis

Family Name: Onagracea

Description: Evening primrose is a plant that grows to a height of about 1-8 ft. It has long pointed leaves and produces many fragrant flowers that only bloom at dusk to attract night-flying insects for pollination. When the flowers are finished the heads contain many small seeds from which the oil is extracted. Evening primrose oil has a rich source of gamma linoleic acid and vitamins.

Healing Properties: The oil helps to reduce inflammation, premenstrual stress and pain. It is very useful oil for dry scaly skins, atopic eczema, and psoriasis. The oil is very soothing and moisturising for the skin and the hair. Lowers blood cholesterol, reduces blood pressure, inhibits thrombosis, controls arthritis, dandruff and accelerates wound healing.
